The Perfect Engagement Shoot
When it comes to engagement shoots, Detroit honestly surprised me with how many gorgeous spots there are. For this session, we started at Roosevelt Park (right by Michigan Central Station) and then headed over to the Fisher Building. Both spots gave us completely different vibes but looked amazing together in the gallery.
Roosevelt Park / Michigan Central Station
This place is a dream for pictures. The building itself (Michigan Central Station) is iconic and the architecture is just jaw-dropping. You’ve got those massive windows, the grand structure, and that slightly historic, edgy feel in the background.
But what I really love about Roosevelt Park is how it softens that whole look. There are swings tucked in the park, big trees you can sit under, and plenty of space if you want to make it feel like a cozy little picnic date. It’s one of those locations that gives you both drama and romance in the same spot.

The Fisher Building
Next, we drove over to the Fisher Building—and wow. Total “old money” vibes. The art deco details, marble, and painted ceilings make it feel like you stepped into a different era. Every corner has some kind of texture or pattern that makes photos look rich and timeless. It’s elegant without being stuffy, and it’s one of my favorite indoor Detroit spots for that classy, dramatic look.
