Christmas minis are back at Wanderlust Studios, and this year I’m bringing you three completely different Christmas sets at my private studio in Plantation, Florida.
Whether you want elegant and snowy, warm and simple, or full-on Christmas magic for the kids, there’s a set for you.
No-Rush Christmas Mini Sessions
Christmas photos are supposed to be fun — not a race against a 10-minute timer. My Christmas minis are no-rush sessions, so you won’t have another family standing outside waiting for you to finish or feel like we have to rush through poses just to stay on schedule.
We’ll have time to let little ones warm up, fix a stray hair, switch things up and actually enjoy the session. The goal is to get beautiful Christmas photos without the mini-session chaos.
Winter Wonderland
Think soft whites, warm golds, snowy trees and that dreamy Christmas-morning feeling. Winter Wonderland is my elegant set this year, with a gorgeous oversized Christmas tree, fireplace, snowy window scene and plenty of neutral tones.
This one is perfect if you want Christmas photos that still feel clean, timeless and elevated. Creams, whites, champagne, soft browns and other neutrals will photograph beautifully here.
North Pole Express
And then there's the fun one. 🚂🎄
North Pole Express takes you straight to the North Pole, complete with a Christmas train, glowing lights, luggage, presents and a decorated railway station.
This is the set for kids who want a little more Christmas magic in their photos — and honestly, adults can absolutely get in on this one too. Traditional Christmas colors, pajamas, dresses, suspenders or classic holiday outfits will all work perfectly.
Christmas Evergreen
If simple, warm and cozy is more your style, Christmas Evergreen is for you.
This set is all about natural Christmas trees, warm twinkle lights, greenery, candles, wood tones and rich brown ribbon. It's festive without being over-the-top and gives you tons of flexibility with wardrobe.
Neutrals are gorgeous here, but this set would also look amazing with deep greens, browns, cream, black or even a little burgundy.
Christmas Minis at My Plantation Studio
All three Christmas mini setups will be photographed at my private studio in Plantation, Florida, conveniently located for families coming from Fort Lauderdale, Davie, Sunrise, Weston, Cooper City and throughout Broward County.
Sessions are short and easy, so you get updated family photos and Christmas-card-worthy images without making picture day an entire production.
And because we're inside, we don't have to care whether South Florida decides Christmas should be 87 degrees with a 70% chance of rain.
What Should We Wear?
Start with the set you love most and build your outfits around it.
You don't need everyone dressed exactly alike. Coordinating colors and textures usually photograph much better than perfectly matching outfits. Once you've chosen Winter Wonderland, Christmas Evergreen or North Pole Express, use the colors in that set as your guide.
When Should I Book Christmas Minis?
Christmas minis happen earlier than most people realize so you'll have your photos back in time for Christmas cards, gifts and the holidays.
Weekend and after-school spots tend to go first, so if you need a particular date or time, don't wait too long to grab it.
