What Should You Wear for Sweet 16 or Senior Photos?
Your outfit should feel like you, just elevated. You don't have to show up in a giant gown unless that's your thing. We can go editorial, casual, glamorous, completely over-the-top—or mix a few different looks into the same session.
I always recommend thinking about the location when choosing outfits, too. Ava's gown worked beautifully with the natural setting at Tree Tops Park because the whole session was designed around that enchanted look from the beginning.
How Do We Choose a Location?
This is one of my favorite parts.
Instead of automatically sending everyone to the same park or beach, I want to know what you want your photos to feel like. Romantic and dreamy? Downtown and editorial? Beachy? Nature? Something completely different?
Once I know the vision, I can help narrow down locations around Fort Lauderdale, Davie and South Florida that actually fit it.
Can We Do More Than One Outfit?
Absolutely.
If you want variety in your gallery, changing outfits is one of the easiest ways to make the session feel completely different without needing another photoshoot.
We can plan the outfits ahead of time so they work with the location and with each other instead of bringing half your closet and trying to figure it out in the parking lot.
What if My Teen Feels Awkward in Front of the Camera?
Normal. Seriously.
You don't need to know how to pose before you get there. I'll give direction, help with hands, movement, angles and all the little things that can feel awkward when a camera is pointed at you.
The goal isn't to make every photo feel super posed. Once we get moving and laughing a little, that's usually when personality starts coming through.
When Should We Book Senior Pictures?
Don't wait until you suddenly realize graduation is three weeks away.
If you need photos for announcements, yearbooks, invitations or a Sweet 16, give yourself some breathing room. It also gives us more flexibility to choose the right location, outfits and time of day instead of taking whatever date is left.
